Support our 'Keeping up with Childhood' campaign As Whizz-Kidz is all about giving disabled children independence we need to highlight how important mobility is in enabling them to enjoy a full and active childhood. Our 'Keeping up with Childhood' campaign aims to convey that all children love being active and children with mobility impairments are no exception - the only difference is they often need the right wheelchair or other type of customised mobility equipment to join in. Thank you for your support.
We at The Bearwood Athlete support the good works of Whizz Kidz
Whizz Kidz has a very simple goal to give disabled children independent mobility. Through the provision of customized mobility equipment such as wheelchairs and tricycles. In turn these aids improves the lives of disabled children aged 0-18 years by giving them the means to move around independently and as a result be more able to participate in all aspects of society. By providing customised mobility equipment like wheelchairs and tricycles, wheelchair skills training, advice, information and campaigning to raise awareness of young disabled people's needs, Whizz-Kidz gives disabled children and young people the chance to enjoy an independent life at home, at school and at play.

London Marathon Training weekend at Holbury St Mary 2003 Just part of the on going support and encouragement that Whizz Kidz provide to its runners.
This is me recently helping out as a volunteer on the 'Keep on moving' scheme held in Sandwell. "Actually meeting and working with these kidz was a very eye opening experience. I feel I have a greater understanding of the difficulties these kids face in day to day life, and how much life can be made easier for them with the help of Whizz kidz" Nige

Nigel Lloyd (Volunteer and the one on the left with the cool shades) with Ben Walsgrove (The one with the grimace). This opened the door to Whizz kidz for me, as we helped Whizz kidz runner Ben Walsgrove to the finish of the 2002 London Marathon. Wondering why he is in so much pain? Well we carried over the final mile and unknown to us he had a fractured femur! Ouch!!!
