www.tirol-speed-marathon.com
Dear running friends! We want to present you an exciting idea for you and your club members, the Tirol Speed Marathon! A beautiful event from the best known and most famous pass in Europe right into the heart of the Alps – on June 9th, 2007 the Brennerbundesstrasse is only reserved for the runners to give them a free way from the Brennerpass (1370 meters) in Italy to Innsbruck (575 meters) in Austria. The lightly declining and plane route provides an opportunity to enjoy the course and to mark a new personal and unique record. The natural scenery of the Wipptal (Wipp-valley) and the lovely historical buildings of Innsbruck’s old town give this marathon a delightful atmosphere.
But we do not just run we also have fun! The night before the event we have a dumpling party were we serve traditional Austrian food for all the runners and their friends.  After the race there is a big relaxing area with whirlpools, beer, music and massage to celebrate your personal achievements with your friends. If you need any help to organize your trip don’t hesitate to contact us.  We would be happy to help you with details like accommodation, shuttle- service from the airport, sightseeing matters like mountain trips, traditional restaurants, the Swarovski Crystal World or the Alpen Zoo. We would be really happy if you use the chance to celebrate an extraordinary running event with us. With the best wishes from Innsbruck - Barbara Hallbrucker & Eva Mirwald www.tirol-speed-marathon.com

Tokyo  Marathon

Toronto Waterfront Marathon           "How do we get you Bearwood athletes to toronto?" Alan Brookes - Race Director - The flat and fast features of this event (includes the marathon, half and 5k) have consistently been the reason for so many people reaching a personal best, qualifying for Boston, having a memorable but good first marathon or an outstanding one. Even power walkers or slower runners love this course because of its 7-hour finish.
The events start and finish in the same spot in the heart of downtown, heading out and back along the lakeshore on a flat course that Boston hopefuls and first-timers love. Toronto Waterfront was one of North America's fastest marathons in 2006 [2:10:15]!

Rennsteiglauf 72km     Germany - The GUTSMUTHS-RENNSTEIGLAUF is a cross-country race named after GutsMuth. It is run along the Rennsteig, a long-distance walking - or running! - route that traverses the Thüringer Wald (the name given to Thüringen´s romantic, wooded part of the mid-German hills). The GutsMuths is the longest cross-country race in Central Europe, and quite certainly one of the most beautiful. Each year those who participate as runners or walkers number around 15,000. In Eastern Germany it has acquired an almost religious significance. Run regularly since the 1970´s, it was the GDR´s biggest amateur sporting event and those who reached the finishing line were accorded high esteem in sporting circles. Still, today, people are proud to be branded "a GutsMuths runner."

Reykjavik Marathon  The Marathon and the Half Marathon are one lap (except for the last part of the marathon, as it goes nearly the same route as in the beginning of the race). The 10 KM is only the first part of the course. The course is about 60% flat and 40% rolling. The total difference in altitude is only about 30 meters. We have not made a elevation map, mainly because the course is very flat!
